Personal Finance (all periods but 2nd): Students took notes on the last section of the chapter, "Globalization". Today, we used those notes, and the ones we took previously, to work on a Study Guide for the chapter. At the end of the chapter, we reviewed the study guide. There will be a test tomorrow on chapter 2. Students are to bring their study guides to be turned in for a grade or extra credit on the test.

Introduction to Business (2nd period): On Monday, students took notes on the final section of the chapter which dealt with how to make a good impression on the job and the exit interview. They also viewed two videos on dressing for the interview and common mistakes people make at the interview. Today we worked on a Study Guide for chapter 9. There will be a test tomorrow.

Personal Finance (all classes but 2nd): We have been studying the basics in Economics using chapters from "Economics: New Ways of Thinking". Yesterday, students broke up into groups and worked on worksheets from chapter 2, section 1. Today, they will be given more time to complete these worksheets. We will begin the next section on globalization. Students will work on the focus questions on page 41 and defining the key terms on the same page. They will also answer on page 53, questions 6-10 under "Understanding the Main Ideas"---this is an individual assignment. On Friday, we will further discuss the section on Globalization while the students take notes. 1st period is a little behind the other classes due to two days of SOL testing.

Introduction to Business (2nd): We will continue discussing Career Planning---students will take notes on the last two sections of the text which deal with the interview process. Students will be expected to take notes. There will be a homework assignment which reviews the key concepts in the chapter: p. 226 - Communicate Business Concepts (1-10) and Develop Your Business Language (11-23).
